Here's a comprehensive guide to establishing the FBD Charges for your items, which is crucial for sellers to understand:

Category Selection: Start off by matching your package's dimensions to a packaging category. The categories available are small, standard, large, or oversized. Refer to the Package Classification Table for more information.
Shipping Weight Calculation: Calculate the shipping weight of your item by adding the actual weight of the package to the weight of the specific packing materials used.
Shipping Weight Verification: Ensure that the shipping weight of your package does not exceed the maximum weight allowed for the selected category based on your package's dimensions. If it does, your package will fall into the next higher category.
FBD Charges Determination: Determine the appropriate FBD Charges for your package by considering the packaging classification and the weight range that your package falls into.

Note: FBD Charges are assessed for each individual item. Calculating these charges helps ensure profitability for each item sold.

Monthly Storage Charges:

Your monthly storage charges are based on the volume of your inventory measured in cubic feet (cbf).
The storage fee is 1.5 AED per cbf per month.
This fee is applicable to all items stored in our warehouse for the entire month.
We calculate the monthly storage charges by multiplying the volume of your inventory (in cbf) with the monthly rate of 1.5 AED per cbf.
The monthly storage charges will be deducted from your seller account balance at the end of each month.

Yearly Storage Charges:

The yearly storage charges are applicable to the average volume of your inventory stored in our warehouse throughout the entire year.
The storage fee is 35 AED per cbf per year.
We calculate the yearly storage charges by multiplying the average volume of your inventory (in cbf) with the yearly rate of 35 AED per cbf.
The yearly storage charges will be calculated and deducted from your seller account balance at the end of each year, typically on a calendar year basis.

Important Information:

It is crucial to regularly manage your inventory to avoid excessive storage charges.
Ensuring efficient inventory management, including removing slow-moving or non-selling items, can help minimize your storage fees.
Oversized or special items may incur additional storage charges. Please contact our support team for more information regarding the charges applicable to such items.

Calculating cubic feet from centimeters:

To calculate the volume in cubic feet from centimeters, follow these steps:

Multiply the length, width, and height in centimeters to get the volume in cubic centimeters. Example: Length = 47 cm, Width = 12 cm, Height = 10 cm Volume in cubic centimeters = 47 cm x 12 cm x 10 cm = 5,640 cubic centimeters
Divide the volume in cubic centimeters by 28,316.84 cubic centimeters, which is the equivalent of 1 cubic foot. Volume in cubic feet = 5,640 cubic centimeters / 28,316.84 = 0.199 cubic feet

So, in this example, the unit measuring 47 cm x 12 cm x 10 cm would be considered as approximately 0.199 cubic feet.

Examples of Monthly Storage Charges Calculation:

If you have 0.199 cbf of inventory stored, the monthly storage fee would be 0.199 cbf x 1.5 AED = 0.2985 AED.

Examples of Yearly Storage Charges Calculation:

If you have 0.199 cbf of inventory stored for the entire year, the yearly storage fee would be 0.199 cbf x 35 AED = 6.965 AED.
